Lemoore men arrested and charged with possession of stolen vehicle

A pair of Lemoore men were arrested by Lemoore police officers on possession of stolen vehicle charges and then booked into the Kings County Jail. Both men were also suspected of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

On early Friday morning (Aug. 28) about 4 a.m. Lemoore officers responded to the area of Firenze St. andCantera Ave.regarding a homeowner hearing car alarms and barking dogs in the neighborhood. When officers arrived on scene they located two male adults. One was seated in a vehicle parked on Cantera Ave. He was identified as 39-year-old Jeffrey Fernandez, a resident of Lemoore. The second male was standing outside the vehicle and was identified as 21-year-old David Hamilton, also of Lemoore.

Hamilton and Fernandez were parked behind a Chevy HHR which had been previously reported as stolen from the city of Hanford. During the investigation it was determined Fernandez and Hamilton had been in possession of the stolen vehicle. Inside the vehicle were numerous items of stolen property. Some of the stolen items were determined to be stolen from at least two vehicles from the immediate neighborhood.

Both men were arrested and booked into the Kings County jail.
