Kinder leads Lady Tigers past West Yosemite League Foes in golf mini-tourney

Lemoore’s girls’ golf team took top honors at Tuesday’s West Yosemite League match, held at the Kings Country Club. The Tigers, led by Dani Kinder’s 41, beat out the rest of the competition, edging Redwood High School by a point at 7-6.

Kinder got plenty of help from her teammates, including Jayda Olaes who fired a 45 on the front nine holes Tuesday. Aiyaha Barros had a 48 while Lauren Black checked in with a 56.

Kinder shot the lowest score of the meet. Only Redwood’s Carly Trujillo came the closest, firing an 8-over 44.

The Tigers will play next on Sept. 14 in the Lemoore High School Tournament at the Lemoore Golf Club, then travel to Valley Oaks for another WYL tournament on Sept. 17.
