Police arrest two Lemoore men on attemped burglary charges and conspiracy

A Lemoore Police Department sergeant spoke with the person reporting the incident and obtained a description of the suspects and the area in which they were last seen.
The sergeant located the two suspects in the area, but they split up. One of the suspects continued walking away from the area while the other attempted to conceal himself by the garage of a residence in an area where two vehicles were parked in the driveway. After a few seconds the subject attempting to hide from the Sergeant complied with his orders to come out and surrender.
The second suspect continued to leave the area and was located a short distance away by another officer. Both suspects were detained and positively identified by the victims in this case.
An investigation revealed that the first suspect, Ricardo Javier Cervantes, age 22, from Stratford, displayed a firearm and demanded the victim give up his property to him. The second suspect, Elijah Lee Cargo, age 19, from the Santa Rosa Rancheria, also demanded personal property from the victim.
Both subjects were subsequently booked into the Kings County Jail on charges of attempted burglary and conspiracy to commit a crime. Both subjects bail was set at $40,000 but Cervantes was also booked on a parole hold authorized by California State Parole due to being on active parole.
The weapon in this case was not recovered and anyone with information is asked to contact the Lemoore Police Department at (559) 924-9574 or (559) 924-5333.
