Kinder again leads field in Valley golf tourneys as Lemoore wins again

Lemoore’s varsity girls’ golf team is tearing up the local links. After tying for first at River Island Golf Course on Saturday (Sept. 12), and then losing in a tiebreaker, the Lemoore ladies won their own Lemoore Tournament on Tuesday, the fifth annual version.

In Tuesday’s match, Dani Kinder shot her lowest round of the season, a blistering 71 to win the match going away. She fired an even-par 36 on the front nine and then a 35 on the back nine. Jayda Olaes followed up with an 87 to help the Lemoore team win the team competition.

On Saturday’s Best Ball Tournament in Reedley, Kinder and Olaes shot par on 18 holes, but in the tie breaker the ladies fell to Porterville.
