Kinder earns a spot in SoCal Championships Nov. 12; pairings announced for Thursday

Lemoore’s Dani Kinder continues her quest for golf’s Shangri La. The talented Tiger senior fired a 77 at Tuesday’s Central Section championships at Visalia’s Valley Oaks Golf Course. The next step in her journey comes in the Southern California Championships Nov. 12 at the Goose Creek Golf Course in Jurupa Valley.

If Kinder is successful there, she’ll go to Poppy Hills Golf Course in Pebble Beach for the state championships. On Nov. 17.

Thursday pairings at Goose Creek

Kinder joins the top five girls in scores with her 77. Taking top honors was Buchanan’s Hannah Lovering, who shot a 74 and took the Central Section’s Individual girls’ golf title.  Second place went to Lexi Keene, Stockdale High School, with a 75 and then Aya Enkoji from Clovis West with her 76. Clovis North’s Tammy Lim had a 76 to finish just ahead of Kinder.

Clovis West and Buchanan finished 1-2 in the team championship and earned a spot in the team championships next week.
