Lemoore’s varsity football team may be without its head coach tonight as it plays Ridgeview High School in Bakersfield for the Central Section Division II championship. Phone calls to school officials by The Leader have not been returned, including to the superintendent, athletic director and Tiger Coach Shannon Pulliam.

It has been reported that Pulliam, who has led his Tiger to two straight West Yosemite League titles, has been suspended for tonight’s game due to an alleged hazing incident that reportedly occurred on Monday or Tuesday of this week. The incident apparently caused at least two football players, who may have been engaged in a fight, to be suspended as well.

It was also reported that Pulliam was placed on administrative leave. LHS Athletic Director Brady Holaday will reportedly take up the head coach reins for tonight’s game in Ridgeview.

The Tigers were 10-2 heading into tonight’s game with top-seeded Division II opponent Ridgeview. The Wolf Pack are unbeaten from the South Yosemite League with a 12-0 mark.
