Tigers girls look to returning players to lead basketball charge
Katelyn Cole returns to lead the Tigers' basketball team.
Lemoore’s next action comes Tuesday (Dec. 8) against Tulare Union before entering the Holiday Invitational Tournament which begins Wednesday, Dec. 9.
Coach Miguel Macias will have a number of starters returning from last year, including All-WYL players Jazmine Taylor, Katelyn Cole and Bobbie Henry. The trio was named to the league’s second team.
The team to beat again has to be Hanford, which went 11-1 last season and ended up in a tie with Redwood High School. The Bullpups will return the league’s MVP, Janelle Sumilong, a junior, who led her squad with 20.6 points per game. The Bullpups were 21-7 on the year
