Lemoore's standout receiver, Allen Perryman commits to Sacramento State
The Hornets need Perryman. Coach Jody Sears team struggled to a 2-9 season in 2015 and is no doubt thrilled to have the talented back, perhaps one of the best players to come out of Lemoore since Richard Doctor took his record-setting running back skills to Humboldt State.
Perryman was part of a team that in 2014 waltzed through a perfect regular season before losing to Dinuba in the Central Section playoffs, finishing with an 11-1 record. For his efforts he was named to the Cal Hi Sports All State Junior team.
In 2015 the Tigers, again led by Perryman, were 11-3, again blitzing the WYL and winning the league title for the second year in a row. The irony of this season, the Tigers blew out rival Hanford to capture the league championship, but watched as the Bullpups went on to win a state title. The Tigers ended up losing to power Ridgeview in Division II.
This year Perryman was superb, catching 31 passes for 503 yards and finishing with a total 657 yards. He also had three interceptions this season. A year ago he finished with nine interceptions. He finished with 13 touchdowns to lead the Tigers and had 44 tackles.
