Tigers hoops teams continue march to playoffs with easy wins Thursday against El Diamante
The girls are scheduled to visit Ridgeview for the MLK shootout on Saturday. Their next league contest is schedule for January 20 at Golden West High School. The boys are scheduled for a Saturday game at Edison High School in Fresno's MLK Tipoff. The Tigers will play Roosevelt High. The boys will return to LHS for a Jan. 20 game against Golden West.
Previous Action
Winning is getting to be a habit at Lemoore High School where on Tuesday, the varsity boys’ team easily beat visiting Mt. Whitney 88-43. The closest the Pioneers ever got to the Tigers was when they left the bus in the parking lot. From there it was all downhill as Lemoore improved to 3-0 in the West Yosemite League and are 14-2 overall.
The Tigers dominated from start to finish and held a 51-21 halftime lead.
The Tigers hit the road again tomorrow (Jan. 14) for yet another WYL matchup, this time with El Diamante, which enters the game at 10-8 overall and 1-1 in league.
In girls’ action, the varsity team continued its winning ways as well, beating the Pioneers in Visalia 53-31 to improve to 2-1 in the WYL and 11-5 overall.
Jazmine Taylor led all scorers with 19 points. Alyssa Vasquez tossed 7 and Monica Lopez had 6 points. The Lady Tigers will host El Diamante Thursday (Jan. 14). The Lady Miners are 6-12 overall and 1-2 in league play.
