Tigers cruise to 21-2, remain unbeaten in WYL with wins over Redwood and Mt. Whitney
The Tigers next contest comes Wednesday (Feb. 10) when it hosts El Diamante. Lemoore finishes up with a Friday game at Golden West and then hosts Hanford on Feb. 16 in the WYL finale.
Jaylunn English again led the Tigers against Mt. Whitney with 18 points. He got plenty of help from his Tiger teammates like Allen Perryman, who had 16 points and Jerald Campbell's 11. Matt Borba finished with 10 points as Lemoore improved to 21-2 on the year and 9-0 in the league.
It simply wasn’t that easy for the Tigers Wednesday night as they held off a surprisingly strong Redwood team 74-71. This is the same Ranger team the Tigers beat earlier this year 84-54 in Visalia.
On the girls’ side, the Rangers beat the Lady Tigers in Visalia 64-52 to preserve their top spot in the WYL. Redwood is 8-1 in the WYL and 19-4 overall. Lemoore fell to 5-3 in league play and 14-8 overall.
