Lemoore’s girls’ soccer team is ranked 6th in the Division II playoffs and will open its postseason play at home against Tulare High School. Tulare Union is rated 11th in the playoffs. Lemoore finished its season on Thursday by tying Hanford 0-0 after overtime.

Lemoore finished at 7-3-2 in the West Yosemite League and the Tigers were 13-5-2 overall.

Lemoore will host Tulare Union on Wednesday, Feb. 17 at 7 p.m.

“I’m proud of my whole team for a great season,” said Tiger Coach Sue Brown who is busy getting her team ready for Tulare. “They have all worked hard and we did have a couple of hiccups along the way but overall I am pleased with this group.”

The Tigers actually looked good against the Bullpups in the regular season finale, booting 25 shots at the Hanford goal. The Tigers finished second behind Redwood High School in the WYL standings.

If the Tigers get past Tulare Union, they’ll play the winner of the Madera and Central Valley Christian contest on Friday, Feb. 17.
