Lemoore police arrest one suspect, seek another from January drug-lab explosion

An explosion and its resulting fire at the Lemoore Travelodge last month in Lemoore prompted Lemoore law enforcement and fire officials to respond quickly to the scene. Once on site, police officers surmised that an explosion may have been the result of a narcotics lab.

On Wednesday, Feb. 17, Lemoore arrested William Scott Boyajian in connection with a butane honey oil lab explosion at the hotel. Police continue their search for another suspect, Anthony Dominguez, who was seen running from the site after the explosion.

Lemoore officers arrived at the Travelodge Hotel in Lemoore soon after the explosion on Jan. 17 and contacted Christian Villalobos and Boyajian. Villalobos and Boyajian both had injuries from the explosion and were transported to Adventist Medical Center and CRMC.

Villalobos was released from AMC the same day and was arrested by Lemoore Detectives. A 15-year-old male was also in the hotel room during the explosion. He also sustained injuries and is considered a victim in this investigation.

Boyajian was admitted to the CRMC burn center where he was treated for his injuries. Boyajian was recently released from CRMC and was healing at home, where he was arrested. Boyajian later admitted to being in the hotel room during the explosion, and was booked for manufacturing a controlled substance, arson causing great bodily injury, arson in an inhabited structure, conspiracy to commit a crime and child endangerment. His bail was set at $2.4 million dollars.

Anthony Dominguez, who is a suspect in this case based on surveillance video and statements obtained, has not yet been arrested. Dominguez is believed to have been responsible for the butane honey oil lab.

Dominguez was seen on surveillance video running from the scene after the explosion and is believed to be in the Fresno or Lemoore area. He is a 38-year-old Hispanic male, black hair, brown eyes, 5-10, about 220 pounds, with numerous tattoos. If anyone has information about the whereabouts of Anthony Dominguez, they are asked to contact Detective Avelar at the Lemoore Police Department at (559) 924-9574.
