Lemoore police arrested a 38-yar-old Lemoore woman on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, domestic violence, and resisting arrest on Sunday morning.

On Sunday, Feb. 21, at approximately 8:15 a.m. Lemoore police officers responded to the Hanford Adventist Medical Center regarding an adult male who had arrived at the emergency room with multiple stab wounds to his left arm and knee areas.

During the course of the investigation it was determined that an argument had occurred between the 52-year-old male victim and his ex-girlfriend, Melody Sprouse of Lemoore. Lemoore police officers located Sprouse at her residence on West Spruce Ave. in Lemoore.

Sprouse attempted to barricade herself inside her house to avoid arrest, but officers forced entry into her residence and took her into custody.

Sprouse was booked into the Kings County Jail for assault with a deadly weapon, domestic violence, and resisting arrest.  Her bail was set at $55,000.
