Tigers win two in softball

Lemoore’s softball team on Tuesday beat Tulare Union 7-3 by pounding out seven hits. Britney Antuna went 2 for 4 with a pair of RBI in the game as Lemoore improved to 2-3 overall.

Antuna got the win for Lemoore, pitching seven innings, striking out nine and allowing just five hits.

Last week the Tigers dropped a 2-1 decision to Liberty High School. Liberty led early in the game with two runs in the first inning. The Tigers added a run in the third but it wasn’t enough. Madison Wallace had two hits for the Tigers while Yris Oregel and Antuna each had a hit.

Lemoore also beat Memorial 17-0 as Lemoore collected a total of 17 hits, including three this each from Kara Tellefsen and Antuna. In all the Tigers had 13 hits on the day.
