Tiger boys' tennis sparkles in Fresno tourney

The Lemoore varsity boys’ tennis squad spent Friday afternoon in Clovis competing in the California Classic Tennis Tournament.  The tournament schedule changed somewhat in an effort to beat an oncoming torrential downpour forecast for later that afternoon and evening.

Lemoore played head to head against Clovis, Golden Valley, and Eagle Rock high schools.  Lemoore beat Clovis 4-2 on Friday on the strength of its No. 1 singles player Mike Sinaga and No. 3 doubles team of Mitchell Foote and Cha Cho Martinez, all winning their matches by 6-0, 6-0 scores

Lemoore also defeated Golden Valley 5-1.  Vincent Cam played No. 2 singles and lost in two tie-breakers in his first two matches, but he came back strong in his final match against Eagle Rock where Lemoore earned a 6-0 win.

Earl Magno, playing in the No. 3 singles spot did well throughout the competition.  Lemoore was strong in doubles play, going undefeated, with Drew Gobby and Adrian Zamora at the No 1 and Arnold Cabuhat and Jed Santos as the No. 2 doubles team.
