Tigers take tourney championship and 6-1 record into Tuesday night home game

Lemoore’s Tuesday game begins at 4 p.m. and beginning March 21 the Tigers open play in the annual Fresno Easter Classic with a game against Franklin High School at Clovis East at 1 p.m. Lemoore is scheduled to play Cosumnes Oaks High at 4 p.m. the same day, and on March 22 will play a 1 p.m. game against Hoover High, at Hoover.
Sophomore Jack Foote led the way Saturday for the Tigers. The talented youngster tossed 5 innings against the Trailblazers, giving up just 4 hits and striking out seven. So far in seven games Foote has won three with 16 strikeouts in 20 innings pitched. He has an ERA of 1.40.
The two teams were tied going into the top of the third when Lemoore scored three times. The Tigers added two more in the fifth inning and held Golden West scoreless the rest of the game.
Foote got plenty of help from his teammates, including senior Brian Garcia, with two RBI and a pair of hits. Senior Robbie Senior also collected two hits as did Bristol Hitchman and Chandler Grzybicki.
