Lemoore’s varsity baseball team will head into next Monday’s prestigious Fresno Easter Class on a roll. Lemoore has won seven of its first eight games and hopes to add an Easter Classic title to its winning streak.
Lemoore beat Bakersfield Christian 8-2 on Tuesday afternoon at the Lemoore diamond to improve to 7-1 on the season.
Lemoore opens the Easter Classic on Monday with a game against Elk Grove’s Franklin High School at 1 p.m. at the Clovis East baseball diamond. The Tigers will play again the same day against Cosumnes Oaks, also from Elk Grove. Game time is 4 p.m. at Clovis East.
Play continues on Tuesday with a game against Hoover at 1 p.m. on the Hoover diamond. The Tigers then face Madera South on Wednesday, again at 1 p.m. on the Hoover field. (Photos by Bill Burris, visit website to view or purchase photos)
