Not a bad run for Lemoore’s talented baseball team. After going 3 of 4 in the Fresno Easter Classic played out last week, Lemoore will take on Hanford West Tuesday at the Huskie’s home field. Lemoore will go into the West Yosemite League opener sporting an impressive 10-2 mark.

The only thing separating the Tigers from a spot in the title game was their opening loss last Monday to Franklin High School, a game the Tigers fell 5-3.  Lemoore scored all of its runs in the opening stanza and watched as Franklin scored 2 in the second, 1 in the fifth and 2 more in the ninth to break a 3-3 deadlock.

Lemoore rebounded later that day with a 1-0 victory over Cosumnes Oaks, going to extra innings and then scoring in the eighth to win. The Tigers had 6 hits in the game.

On Tuesday the Tigers crushed Hoover High School 9-1, and on Wednesday they crushed Madera South 8-3, amassing 13 hits.

Clovis High School defeated Edison in the Fresno Easter Classic finale 8-0 on Wednesday night.
