Tigers hope to rebound from no-hitter with rematch against Hanford West

Fueled by a 10-2 pre-league record, Lemoore’s varsity baseball team appeared poised to compete with the best the West Yosemite League had to offer. The team’s hopes were a bit dashed Tuesday afternoon when Hanford West’s Justin Miller fired a no-hitter at the Tigers in the league opener on the Huskie’s diamond to beat Lemoore 9-0.

Miller had a field day, striking out nine and allowing just three baserunners via an error, a walk and a hit batter.

Lemoore will get another shot at Hanford West today (March 31) when the Tigers host the Huskies at 4:15 p.m.

Lemoore fell to 10-3 and 0-1 in the WYL.
