Tigers face Redwood twice in effort to get back into West Yosemite League race

Lemoore’s varsity baseball team, having struggled in its first two West Yosemite League games, returns to action on Tuesday with a 7 p.m. game against Redwood High School.

The last two weeks have not been kind to the Tigers, who started the season with a 10-2 record. Since then the Tigers have dropped two WYL games to Hanford West by a combined score of 17-1 and on Tuesday Fowler kept up the brutality with an 8-4 win in Fowler.

Lemoore has fallen to 0-2 in the WYL and are 10-5 overall.

Lemoore will take on a Ranger team that has played well, compiling an impressive 3-1 record in league play and an overall record of 14-5.

The Tigers, playing its WYL foes back to back this season, will travel to Visalia Thursday to take on the Rangers again. Thursday’s game time is 4:15 p.m.

Next week the Tigers take on Mt. Whitney in a game in Visalia on Tuesday, April 19 and then facing the Pioneers again two days later on Thursday in Lemoore.
