Police are seeking information regarding a shooting incident on Sunday, April 24 that resulted in the wounding of a Lemoore man. The incident occurred at approximately 9:45 p.m. on Sunday when Lemoore police officers were dispatched to the area of East Hanford Armona Road and East Cinnamon Drive for a call of shots fired in the area.
Several callers reported hearing about 5-8 shots in the area. While the officers were in route, dispatch received a call from a male who said he was in an apartment on Hanford Armona Road and that he had been shot.
The first officer on scene found the victim in an apartment. The victim, a 25-year-old male, appeared to have a gunshot wound to the side of his abdomen. He was transported to the Regional Medical Center in Fresno and is expected to survive.
Witnesses told the officers that two Hispanic male adults, approximately 20 years old, were seen running from the scene. One of the males, who was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans, was holding a pistol. The two males were seen getting into a car and leaving the area westbound on East Hanford Armona Road. The vehicle was described as an older model grey or silver 4 door passenger car.
