Tigers send three athletes to Central Section Area Match on May 13

The Lemoore High School doubles’ team of Drew Gobby and Adrian Zamora, both juniors, went all the way to the West Yosemite League finals before falling to El Diamante’s team of Tim Park and Ju Han, losing 3-6, 4-6. The Tiger duo put up a good show and finished second overall.

They opened at Redwood High School on April 29 with an 8-6 victory over the league’s No. 2 team of Jack Brewer and Alfredo Camacho, and then in the semi-finals Gobby and Zamora beat Redwood’s Colton Hansen and Angel Ramirez 8-2.

In singles’ action Mike Sinaga nearly won himself a league title, losing in the finals to the undefeated No. 1 player from Golden West, Stewart Bryan who shutout Sinaga 0-6, 0-6.

Sinaga beat Golden West’s No. 2 player, Kanwar Singh 8-4, and in the semi-finals beat Redwood’s No.  player Adam Miller 8-3.

All three Tigers earned a trip to the May 13 Area Meet at Mission Oaks High School.
