Lemoore High's Allen Perryman, now a Sac State Hornet, to visit Bulldog Stadium Sept. 10

The Hornets will play the Bulldogs in their second game of the season on Saturday, Sept. 10 at 7 p.m. in Bulldog Stadium. Perryman is listed as a freshman wide receiver on the Hornet’s roster.
Perryman was a highly regarded recruit for Sacramento State and is listed on the roster as a freshman. Perryman graduated from Lemoore High School in 2016, and he was a first team all-West Yosemite League selection as a senior wide receiver and free safety.
He was also a second team all-state as a safety. He caught 43 passes for 763 yards and 14 touchdowns and rushed 13 times for 176 yards and two score as a senior. The talented Tiger helped lead Lemoore to a 10-3 overall record, a West Yosemite League title, and a berth in the Central Section Div. II championship game.
He also played on defense where he had 51 total tackles and three interceptions, and as a junior he earned all-state honors with 55 receptions for 1,070 yards and nine touchdowns on offense and 61 total tackles and nine interceptions on defense.
Perryman is majoring in criminal justice.
Sacramento’s head coach, Jody Sears became the 10th head football coach in Sacramento State history when he was named the head football coach on April 25, 2014. The elevation came just months after Sears was hired as the Hornets' defensive coordinator in the spring of 2014.
Despite taking over the team following spring practice, Sears helped unify a team which went on to record a 7-5 overall record, matching the highest win total in the school’s Div. I era.
Last year the Hornets went 2-9 on the year.
