Lemoore’s varsity football team, burdened by one of the Central Section’s most demanding schedules, will take an 0-3 record into Sanger Friday night for a non-league matchup with the 3-0 Apaches.

Game time is scheduled for 7:30 pm.

The Tigers have been struggling this year, having been outscored 114-55, losses coming at the expense of Paso Robles (35-10), Memorial (23-15) and the latest, a 56-30 loss to powerful Buchanan High School Friday night in Clovis.

Sanger is on a roll in the pre-season, opening with a 28-21 victory over Fresno High, a convincing 31-14 win over Hanford, and Friday night’s 55-13 clobbering of Clovis East.

On Friday the Bears scored 35 first-half points in the first half to outdistance the Tigers, but poured it on in the second half to keep Lemoore at bay.
