Tiger tennis team on a roll with easy wins over Hanford and visiting Golden West
In earlier action, Lemoore tennis fans were all smiles Wednesday afternoon ((Sept. 14) on the Tiger tennis courts as the local ladies beat Golden West in West Yosemite League play 7-2. The only losses came as the result of injuries. Number one player Kaitlin Raulino easily got past Golden West’s Vanessa Bonnar 6-1, 6-4 while No. 3 player Cynthia Moreno beat Emily Wells 6-0, 7-5. Lemoore’s Maddie Kuntz defeated the Blazers’ Stephanie Cuellar 7-6, 7-0 in a close match.

In other action Lemoore’s Annelisa Andrada won her match, a 6-4, 6-3 decision over Victoria Sarkisian and Valori Meraz beat Catie Carmargo 6-1, 6-1 for another Tiger win.
Tennis Schedule
In doubles action Raulino and Moreno beat Alvarez and Cuellar 8-0. Kuntz and Meraz also won their match 8-3 while the No. 3 doubles team of Lizeth Garcia and Dulce Magana were up 4-1 before dropping the match due to an injury.
Lemoore easily won the junior varsity match as well. The Tigers finish first round play in the West Yosemite League with a match against Hanford High School on Monday.
