Police on September 19 arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of felony domestic violence as well as for vehicle theft in Alameda County.

Lemoore police officers, at approximately 2:30 p.m. responded to a concern from a reporting party that she had not heard from her daughter for two weeks, and she said she believed her daughter was being abused by her boyfriend, Savion Lewis.

A check on Lewis revealed he had a warrant for his arrest for vehicle theft in Alameda County.

Officers were able to make contact with the female inside the residence, who reported that she was being physically abused by Lewis. It was also discovered that Savion was hiding from officers inside the attic of the residence and may have been in possession of a semi-automatic handgun.

The residence, along with a neighboring residence, was evacuated due to safety concerns. Officers talked with Lewis for about two hours, but he initially refused to come down from the attic.

The department’s K-9 officer responded, and Lewis then started talking to the officers. Officers were able to get a ladder and Lewis eventually came down from the attic and was immediately taken into custody. He was booked at the Kings County Jail for felony domestic violence and the Alameda County warrant. His bail was set at $70,000.
