Tiger volleyball ends WYL first round with Hanford sweep

Lemoore’s varsity volleyball ladies swept Hanford in the finale of the West Yosemite League’s first round on Wednesday night in Hanford. The Tigers beat the Bullpups 25-19, 25-10, 25-23.

Lemoore improved to 14-8 overall and 4-3 in the WYL.

For the Tigers, Annemarie Schalde had 10 kills while Leah Rodrigues had 15 digs. Shelby Saporetti continues her fine play with six kills. Bailee Borges had 11 assists in the three-set sweep of Hanford.

The Tigers’ next game is Oct. 13 in Lemoore when they will host Redwood High School.
