Tigers hope to rebound against Mt. Whitney after falling top-ranked Rangers

Lemoore’s varsity volleyball team will try to get back on track Tuesday (Oct. 18) when the Tigers travel to Visalia for a match against Mt. Whitney. As it is the Tigers ran up against a powerful Redwood squad Thursday night in the school’s Event Center.

The Rangers are currently atop the West Yosemite League standings with an 8-1 record and an overall mark of 23-9. Lemoore fell to 4-4 and is mired in fourth place currently after losing three sets to one Thursday night.

The Tigers fell behind early in the first set before succumbing 25-15 to the Rangers. In the second Lemoore returned the favor, edging Redwood 25-23.

Redwood poured it on winning the final two sets easily, 25-14, 25-18.
