Lemoore's golf ladies won the Division II Central Section title on Monday at the Kings Country Club.

For the second year in a row, Lemoore’s girls’ golf team won the Central Section Division II championship, this year shooting a combined total of 522 to win the Central Section title, and only a few days after winning the Area Tournament on their home course at Lemoore Municipal.

The Tigers clearly outclassed the rest of the competition. Their nearest rival for the title was Yosemite High, which finished 13 strokes behind Lemoore at 535. Central Valley Christian finished third, while Bakersfield Christian took fourth.

"It was definitely a grind it out day," said Tiger Coach Kevin Roberts. "The course played really tough and the scores reflected that. The middle of the ladder stayed steady through it all."

Once again the Tigers’ ace, Aiyana Barrios, took the top spot for Lemoore, firing a 93 on the par 72 course at the Kings Country Club.

Madelyn Alvarez and Margaret Benn each shot 104 while Ashley Alaniz fired a 110. Jennifer Alaniz shot a 111 and Lauren Black finished with a 120 on the difficult course.
