Lemoore High hoopsters off to mixed starts as holiday tourneys begin

Lemoore’s varsity basketball teams are off to a mixed start. The varsity girls are 1-1 in the early stages of its 2016-17 season, splitting a pair of games while the boys’ varsity lost 87-50 in its “Foundation” game on Nov. 28 in Selma.

The Tigers boys don’t play again until the Kings County Classic opener on Wednesday, Dec. 7 in Lemoore at 5:30 p.m. The tourney is spread over four days, Dec. 7 through Dec. 10.

The Lady Tigers opened the season with a non-conference game at Sierra Pacific and promptly lost 74-47. The Tigers rebounded with a 57-55 victory against Hoover High on the Tigers’ home court Tuesday night, Nov. 29.

The Lemoore Ladies will travel to Dinuba on Tuesday, Dec. 6 for a matchup with Dinuba High School before beginning the annual Holiday Invitational Tournament beginning Dec. 7.
