“This weekend is a great sign of things to come,” said Coach Botelho. “Our kids wrestled well on Saturday. We have great depth and plenty of senior leadership. I’m really proud of the way they performed on Saturday.”
The Tigers crushed Madera 58-12, pounced on visiting Reedley 52-9, but had a much tougher time of it with Madera, but still prevailed by a 42-36 score.
For the record Sabien Jones, Gary Joint, Joe Romero, Greg Guzman, John Panduro, Angel Solis, Mateo Brewer, Jose Lara and Noah Wright were perfect on Saturday, each turning 3-0 records.
