Lemoore man arrested on suspicion of lewd and lascivious behavior with child

The suspected incident was reported on Thursday, Dec. 8 at approximately 9 a.m. when an 11-year-old female reported to a Lemoore Police Department Youth Development Officer that she had been sexually assaulted the previous day near Daphne Lane by the suspect, John Perez of Lemoore.

The victim told the officer that the suspect groped her breast area while she was alone and in an isolated area with the suspect. The suspect attempted to further grope the victim’s genital area, but the young female pulled away and ran to a nearby business for safety.

An officer investigating the case identified the suspect from details provided by the victim. Perez was interviewed by detectives and subsequently placed under arrest for lewd and lascivious behavior with a child, and was then booked into the Kings County Jail with a bail of $50,000.
