Tiger soccer teams end pre-season, resume WYL play Jan. 3
Lemoore is 1-1 in league play so far, losing to Redwood and beating Hanford West.
Lemoore will start league play again with a visit to Visalia where the Tiger ladies will take on the Mt. Whitney Pioneers in a Jan. 3 contest.
“We’ve been paying beautiful possession soccer,” said the Tiger’s head coach, Janet Brown, “but have had difficulty finishing until last night. I’m hoping we are past our scoring deficiency and will play the complete game.”
She went on to say that this year’s team has some excellent players and she hopes they will come together as a team as league play continues.
In boys’ action, the Tigers, on Tuesday, dropped a 4-1 match against Avenal to end their pre-season campaign. The Tigers are 6-7-2 as they prepare for more action in the WYL with a home contest against Mt. Whitney on Jan. 3 at 6 p.m.
The Tiger boys are also 1-1 in league play with a win against Hanford West and a loss to Redwood.
