Lemoore's boys' basketball team improved to 2-1 in the West Yosemite League with its 51-43 win over Mt. Whitney on Tuesday night, negating an earlier 53-41 loss to the Pioneers in the recent Garces Tournament. The Tigers will host El Diamante Thursday night in Lemoore's Event Center.

The win comes just a few days after the boys' team, despite a comeback bid, lost to Redwood High School 69-60. The Lemoore ladies dropped a 69-51 contest to the Lady Rangers in Visalia and fell to 1-1 in the league and 7-7 overall.

The night before, the ladies fell to Buchanan High School 53-36.
