The Lemoore varsity boys’ and girls’ soccer teams will take on Hanford tomorrow night (Jan. 12) as the boys’ team hits the road for a match in Neighbor Bowl while the Lemoore ladies will host the Bullpups tomorrow night. The boys are 2-2 headed into the match and 7-8-2 overall.

Lemoore’s girls suffered a 1-0 loss Tuesday night at Golden West to fall to 2-2-1 in the West Yosemite League and 6-6-1 overall. The boys did not play at home Tuesday night due to poor field conditions. The match will be made up.

"We outplayed Golden West in terms of possession but couldn't find the net," said Tiger Coach Janet Brown.

Golden West scored the only goal of the game in the second half on a breakaway in the final 11 minutes. "We pushed hard to put something together, but it was too little too late," said Brown.

Brown also singled out Deziree Jimmeye for a number of saves and Taylor Paramo with some deft passing that nearly resulted in scores.

Both matches on Thursday begin at 6 p.m.
