Tiger soccer teams fall behind in West Yosemite League campaign as end nears

Lemoore’s boys’ soccer team has an uphill struggle if it hopes to make it to the Central Section playoffs after dropping a pair of West Yosemite League contests this past week. On Tuesday, the Tigers fell 1-0 to Golden West and then suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Redwood High School Thursday night in Lemoore.

The Tigers fell to 8-10-2 overall and 3-4 in the WYL with five games left to play. Lemoore will take on Mt. Whitney tonight (Jan. 27) in Visalia.

The Lemoore girls’ team fell to 3-3-1 with a Thursday night loss to Redwood. The Rangers held the Tigers scoreless for a 2-0 win to improve to 8-0 in the WYL. Lemoore fell to 3-3-1 in league play and 7-7-1 overall. The Lady Tigers host the Pioneers tonight (Jan. 27).
