Tiger golfers turn in solid rounds but finish second in Lemoore Tournament

Lemoore’s golf team played some pretty good golf on Tuesday afternoon at the Lemoore Golf Course, but it wasn’t quite good enough to beat first-place Exeter. The Monarchs finished with a low score 432 to edge Lemoore’s second-place showing of 462.

Nolan Pedersen had the Tigers’ low score of 78 on the 18-hole course. The only player better on the day was Exeter’s Drake Jones, who fired a 73 to earn low score.

Pedersen got help from teammate Cory DeRaad, who finished the course in 79 strokes. His showing was the third best of the tourney, Other teams include third place Tulare Western, fourth place Hanford West, fifth place Sierra Pacific, sixth place Highland, and Immanuel, finishing in seventh.

Lemoore also got good performances from Connor DeBurger (93), Justin Oliveira (102), Iveen Barrios 110, and Diego Rodriguez, who shot a 120.

The Tigers begin West Yosemite League play on March 14 with a match at the Kings Country Club against Hanford West.
