Tigers 9-4 heading into Wednesday's WYL softball opener

Lemoore’s softball bats continue to pound out hits as the Tigers begin West Yosemite League play on Wednesday (March 22) with a game at Hanford West. Lemoore goes into the league opener sporting an impressive 9-4 record.

On Friday, the Tigers defeated Liberty in an away contest 5-3 to improve to 9-4 on the season.

Lemoore batters collected a total of 10 hits on the day, led by Madison Wallace, Susannah Campos, and Megan VanAllen, each of whom had two hits. Campos was two for four with a pair of RBI as well.

Ashtyn Lucas tossed a three-hitter and struck out six Liberty batters to win the game for the Tigers.

The Tigers were trailing 2-1 in the fifth when Tiger hitters put together a four-run inning to take a 5-2 advantage. Liberty forced a final run across in the fifth inning.
