Tiger tennis continue winning ways, improve to 4-1 in WYL

The Lemoore High School Boys’ Tennis Team improved to 4-1 in the West Yosemite League after crushing Golden West Thursday afternoon on the Lemoore courts.

Lemoore beat the Trailblazers 9-0, just a day after the match was postponed due to rain. The Lemoore Junior Varsity also won, 5-0. 

Spencer Denney beat Matthew Buds 6-2, 6-3 while Drew Gobby beat Ulysses Avila 6-0, 6-4. In other action, Arnold Cabuhat beat Eryq Zayas 6-2, 6-4, and Jan Cunanan beat Oliver Kneels 6-2,6-0.

Earl Magno beat Fidel Moreno 6-0,6-1, while Lemoore’s Collin Bresenio had the toughest time beating Alejandro Ramos 3-6, 6-3, (12-10) in a super-tie break.

In doubles’ action, the team of Gobby/ Denney won first doubles 8-3.  Magno/Cunanan won at second doubles 8-0.  Connor Riley and Vincent Cam won their doubles’ match 8-5.  The Tigers finish first round league play on Monday (March 27) against Hanford there and start their second round at Hanford West on Wednesday (March 29).
