Lemoore’s softball team fell to 0-2 in the West Yosemite League following Wednesday’s disappointing 11-3 loss to Redwood High School on the Tigers’ diamond. The Rangers improved to 2-1 in the league standings.

The Tigers face Mt. Whitney Friday afternoon in Visalia and hope to get back on track. Lemoore is 9-6 overall while the Pioneers go into tomorrow’s game with an 0-2 WYL mark and 3-9 overall.
In Wednesday’s game, Redwood scored three times in the third inning and two more in the fourth to take a commanding 5-2 lead. The Rangers scored once more in the sixth and five times in the seventh to complete the blowout.
Redwood batters had 12 hits off Tiger pitching, led by Nikki Antuna, who went six innings for the Tigers – and took the loss. Lemoore batters could muster just six hits off Redwood’s Abigail Hillan, who struck out eight batters and walked just two.
For the Tigers Katelynn Cole had two hits and two RBI while Jordyn Antuna, Megan Ambriz, Madison Wallace and Kendra Hawken each had a hit.
