Tiger bats come alive in games against Clovis schools, but fall short in Clovis Easter Classic
In the morning game against North High, Lemoore’s bats came alive, connecting on 14 hits in the game, but the Tigers couldn’t stifle West’s bats – and its run-scoring abilities as Clovis batters strung out 15 hits for 11 runs.
For the Tigers’ Kendra Hawken went three for four in the game with an RBI while Susannah Campos had a pair of hits with two RBI. Sierra Phelps, Madison Wallace, Katelyn Cole each had a pair of hits while Megan Ambriz, Jordyn Antuna and Shelly Jobe each connected once.
In the afternoon game, the Tigers again scattered a total of nine hits but fell short in the 11-6 loss. Ambriz led the Tigers with two hits and two RBI while Cole went two for three with a pair of runs batted in. Hawken again stroked two hits as did Wallace, who also drove home a run.
