Friday was not a good day for Lemoore's varsity girls’ softball team as it fell further behind in the West Yosemite League race after dropping an 8-0 game to Hanford West.  The Tigers also lost to visiting Hanford High School 12-1 earlier in the week and Lemoore fell to 1-5 in the WYL and are 11-12 overall.

The Tigers could only come up with one hit against the Huskies Friday afternoon, that coming off the bat of Megan Ambriz. Meantime, Hanford West collected 11 hits off Tiger pitching to improve to a perfect 6-0 in the WYL. The Huskies sport an impressive 17--3-1 record to lead the league.

In the earliergame against Hanford, Lemoore’s Ashtyn Lucas gave up 10 hits to earn the loss. She struck out three Bullpups. Hanford improved to 3-2 in the WYL with Wednesday’s victory. The Bullpups put it away with an 8-run fourth inning.

Sierra Phelps and Megan VanAllen led the Tigers with a pair of hits each.

Lemoore will meet take on Redwood Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at Redwood High School.
