Tiger tennis duo take No. 1 seed into West Yosemite League championships

Lemoore’s boys’ tennis team will have the No. 1 doubles duo going into Friday’s (April 28) West Yosemite League championships. Spencer Denney and Drew Gobby earned the top spot with their impressive play this year.

The Tigers completed their impressive 10-2 run in the WYL with a convincing 9-0 win over Hanford Wednesday afternoon. The WYL championships will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Golden West High School.

The Tigers finished at 17-6 overall. Only Redwood finished atop the Tigers this past season, compiling a 9-0 mark.

The Tigers also earned the No. 2 seed as Earl Magno and Collin Bresenio prepare to tackle the best the league has to offer. On the singles side, Arnold Cabuhat and Vincent Cam will play in the singles competition.  The top six players will qualify for the area tournament.
