Lemoore's baseball and softball teams won one and lost one on Friday. The Tiger boys edged El Diamante 4-3, while the Lady Tigers softballers dropped a 15-4 decision to Redwood in Visalia. Both teams appear to be struggling in the tough West Yosemite League.

Lemoore's baseball team fell to 2-6 in the WYL while the ladies, after an impressive pre-season, find the going tough against their league opponents, falling to 1-7.

The Lady Tigers host Mt. Whitney on Wednesday (May 3) in a 4:30 p.m. game. The boys travel to Visalia for a matchup with Golden West. Hanford West is currently atop the WYL softball standings, sporting an impressive 8-0 record. On the boys' side, Redwood leads the WYL at 9-1.

For the Tiger boys, Seth Wong led the team in hitting with three hits. Bryce Aguilar was one for two with an RBI while Dawson Farris and Bristol Hitchman each connected.
