Lemoore’s varsity girls’ tennis team continues its winning ways. The Tigers crushed Dinuba 9-0 in a home match Tuesday afternoon and then shutout Hanford West in their West Yosemite League opener on Thursday by the same score.
The junior varsity turned in an impressive performance too, winning 5-0 against Dinuba.
Lemoore’s top singles’ player, Madison Kuntz beat Andrea Cuevas 6-1, 6-1. Lizeth Garcia, the Tigers’ No. 2 netter, beat Chloe Bono 6-0, 6-1.
Jolene Simas beat Salai Villasenor 6-0,6-0, and Lizbeth Flores defeated Neisse Garcia 6-0,6-0. Lemoore’s Jenny Paez beat Jordyn Legassick 6-0, 6-0, and Paige Clarke beat Savanna Shaw 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles’ action, the Tigers mixed it up a little bit. Simas and Clarke playing No. 1 doubles beat Cuevas/Villasenor 8-4. In No two doubles, Garcia paired with Cassie Cervantes to defeat the Huskies 8-2. Finally, Kuntz paired with Aliana Cabuhat to defeat Hanford 8-3.
