Lemoore’s Kings Christian varsity boys’ football team will be gunning for its second win of the season on Friday when it hosts San Juan Bautista’s Anzar High School at 7 p.m.
The Crusaders won their opener on Aug. 25, a 34-26 victory over visiting Desert High from Edwards Air Force Base.
Kings Christian’s Julien Pierce rushed for 127 yards in the season opener and a touchdown. He caught three touchdown passes. His longest run went for 33 yards. As a team, the Crusaders netted 177 yards on the night.
Steven Shuman tossed two TDs and passed for 96 yards.
On the defensive side, Andrew Tackett netted 12 tackles for the Crusaders.
