Since losing to Buchanan High School 49-0 on Sept. 8, Lemoore’s varsity football team has put its offense in high gear, scoring 108 points in the last three games, including a Sept. 15, 40-38 double-overtime loss to Sanger.
A week ago, the Tigers outlasted West Yosemite League rival Redwood 28-21, and on Friday night in Hanford, they crushed Hanford West 42-21.
The last two wins have put Lemoore atop the WYL standings as they prepare for a Friday night (Oct. 6) game at Golden West High School. Game time is 7:30 p.m. in Groppetti Stadium.
The Tigers currently share the WYL lead with El Diamante. The Trailblazers, whom the Tigers play Friday, are 0-1 and 4-1 overall. Lemoore improved to 3-3 overall with its latest win.
