Hanford’s water polo team felt the brunt of Lemoore’s Cameron Olson as the talented athlete scored 13 goals in Tuesday night’s impressive 20-14 victory over the Bullpups.

Lemoore has been on a tear in league play, losing only to Redwood, a 12-10 loss on Sept. 19. The Tigers are a game behind the Rangers in the West Yosemite League standings with a 5-1 league record, and will host visiting Hanford West on Thursday (Oct. 5) at 5:30 p.m.

The Tigers and Olson came out strong early in Tuesday’s match at Hanford High School, scoring seven times to take a 7-2 lead, an advantage they never relinquished. Five more goals in the second period put Lemoore up 12-5.

Olson got plenty of help from teammates Alex Eastridge and Max Tashima, each of whom scored three times.

The Lemoore varsity girls dropped an 8-7 decision to the Bullpups Tuesday night. The Tigers are 0-6 in the WYL and 6-13 overall.
