Tiger volleyballers win two of three before falling to Redwood

After winning the last two of three West Yosemite League volleyball matches, Lemoore’s varsity girls’ squad visited Redwood High School Thursday night and lost 3-1. The Rangers are currently ensconced atop the league standings with an 8-1 record.

The Tigers fell to 3-5 in the WYL and are 14-10 overall.

During their short win streak, Lemoore beat Hanford 3-0 and Hanford West 3-0 before running into the always mighty Rangers.

The Tigers challenged Redwood, keeping the scores close, even beating the Rangers 26-24 in the second set. The Rangers stormed back with a 25-18 and 25-19 third and fourth set wins.

The Tigers return to their home court for a Tuesday, Oct. 17 match against Mt. Whitney High School.
