Lemoore’s varsity girls’ volleyball team opened the Central Section Division 2 playoffs with a comfortable victory over Tulare Union on Thursday night, beating The Tribe 3-0 in straight sets.

The Tigers will hit the road on Tuesday for a match with the section’s top seed, Bakersfield Christian. Game time is 6:30 p.m. in Bakersfield. The Eagles are an impressive team, compiling a 28-8 record and winning its league with a perfect 12-0 mark.

The Tigers quickly got past Tulare Union Thursday night 25-20, 25-18, and 25-15.

Lemoore improved to 18-11 overall.
